Hi I’m Edward. I’m interested in biology, psychology, sociology, and dabble in Olympic weightlifting. Professionally I am scientist in the field of histology. I think different and tend to focus on the exceptions rather than the rules to gain an understanding about why things are the way they are.

I have my own ideas about how things work and I developed my ideas from observing patterns. For a long time I thought my ideas were something new until I came across Engel’s BPS (biopsychosocial) model. Things are never as simple as they seem when considered in full context and although there are problems with Engel’s model I think he was trying answer important questions. The same questions that I have pondered since I was a child. Engel’s model could have only arisen from him observing exceptions and in that sense I consider the answers to questions from the same angle. You can’t ignore exceptions if you want a satisfying answer about anything.
